- Cell Phones ♥

In the past years the the use of cellphones by teens are going up and up. At least 85% of teens today have cellphones. I believe that the usage of cellphones by teens should continue. Yes there are cons but teachers, administrators and board members act like they aren't pros either. Such as parents being in touch with their kids and knowing there whereabouts. Students can be texted the asssignments that are absent. Lastly if  in danger they can reach authorities or medical help.
First, I think that cellphones should be allowed because what if there parents need to get in touch with them while in school if the phone is off. Also many cellphones have calculators and plenty of new math curricula, to encourage the use of the If you can't bring your phone to school at all that's even worse, because what if you have an after school activity or detention. How will your parents contact you or how will you contact them. There's really no point in not having a cellphone. Cellphones can be silenced during class or study periods, and active only in appropriate places.
Second, if a student is absent the work can be texted, or a buddy system can be put into place. calculator when problem solving. A student should become accustomed to having a calculator handy, for both homework and real life applications. You never know when these cellphones might come in handy.

Lastly, what if they are in danger and something happened. You made them leave they cellphone. Which can result in them getting hurt or even a worse matter. Their parents would be very, very angry. I don't understand what we will get out of not having cellphones. It's something we need. Yes we text, get on facebook, or twitter. But that's what our parents got them for. So we can get in touch with them.
