If a boy/girl sent me a friend request and they like the same things as me I would just keep things basic. No personal information things like that. I wouldn't meet a person anywhere I met offline. That's stupid especially if you never knew or seen the person.
All the people I have on facebook I know. Anyone who sends a friend request if I don't them I'll add them, but we would never talk. If they sent me a message I wouldn't respond. Especially if their way older than me.
